Another New Adventure For You and Me

Welcome to this new blog, A Film's Eye View Into You.  Thanks to the creative idea of Niya Sisk (her blog, PR PIRATE showcases ideas for all of us), I am embarking on this blog in addition to Spirited Musings to offer something that I feel is unique and unusual.  For those who have worked with me over the last 15 years or so, they know that I am a major film buff, and I have long used films in my work, as both a therapeutic tool and as devices for stimulating people into deeper pockets of themselves that I believe movies are uniquely able to facilitate.

At my website (geofflaughton.com), I also have a link for Resources, and that page has a number of recommended books, music, and films that I recommend to clients to be able to support the work they're doing with me.  So, what I'm going to be doing is posting my point of view on selected films that I believe have some great healing mojo available to us, if we look deeper into it.  I'll be sharing what I see, in that vein, along with discussing how it pertains to my work, specifically, and what is available on a more general healing/transformational level to anyone, in general.

Because I'm also passionate about community, and a lot of my personal and likely my professional community is equally passionate – and opinionated – about films, I am strongly encouraging all people reading this blog to add their comments, opinions, observations…both about the films themselves, but especially about the impact a given movie may have had on them in their life.  I also invite you all to add movies that I may miss, along with what YOU see is the available emotional, metaphysical, and psychological gift(s) in that particular movie.

So, come play, learn, and feel with me!

The first movie to be discussed, in the next posting, will be Billy Eliot.

Have a great weekend!
